This classic American pewter bowl was made by The Stieff Company (later Kirk Stieff) of Baltimore, Maryland.
It features the clear "STIEFF PEWTER" stamp, the American Pewter Guild (ATC) shield mark, and the model number P 64-19. The ATC mark confirms it is high-quality, lead-free fine pewter (primarily tin with antimony and copper).
Dimensions:
Diameter across the rim: 7.5 inches (19 cm)
Height (tabletop to rim): approximately 3.75 inches (including the graceful curved legs)
Design:
Elegant rounded bowl with a slightly flared rim, three sturdy curved feet for stability, and a small tab/handle detail at the top. It's a versatile mid-century piece that works beautifully for serving fruit, nuts, candy, or as a decorative centerpiece. The style has a subtle Colonial/Williamsburg-inspired feel common in Stieff's pewter line from the 1960sā1980s.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition with authentic patina and light surface scratches/scuffs inside and out from normal use (see photos). No dents, cracks, or major damage. The metal is solid, the legs are firm, and the markings are crisp and fully legible. It has been gently cleaned and can be polished further if you prefer a brighter shine.
Care:
Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Avoid the dishwasher and abrasive cleaners to preserve the finish. Pewter polish or a simple vinegar/flour paste works well for extra luster.
Perfect for collectors of American pewter, Stieff/Kirk Stieff pieces, or anyone looking for a charming, usable vintage serving dish with real history.
Shipping:
Carefully packaged with bubble wrap and sturdy box. I ship quickly (usually same or next day) via USPS Ground Advantage with tracking. Combined shipping available on multiple items.
