Authentic Vintage "KEY REGISTRATION" Metal Key Tag / Fob with Chain – Nashville, TN Lost Key Return Service
This is a cool piece of mid-20th-century Americana! These key tags were part of a "key registration" service (popular 1950s–1970s) where owners registered their keys. If lost, anyone finding it could drop it in any mailbox—the finder got return postage guaranteed, and the key was mailed back to the registered owner. A clever pre-tracker lost-and-found system!
