This is a classic piece of mid-century railroadiana: an Empire brand Handilite battery-powered signal lantern from the Metal Ware Corp.

Dual Function: Features a front-facing flashlight beam and a red emergency/signal dome on top.

Construction: Durable metal body with a pivoting handle and a hexagonal wire base.

Markings: Stamped "Empire" and "Two Rivers, Wis. USA".

Condition: Being sold strictly for parts or restoration. The red top lens has a visible crack. There is some surface rust on the metal casing, which adds a great authentic "found" look for decor.

Power: Originally designed for a 6V lantern battery (not included).
