Stickley.” This substantial example corresponds to Model 216, one of the firm’s larger and more architectural settle forms, measuring a full 72 inches in length. Crafted of solid quarter-sawn white oak, the bench features bold vertical back slats, squared through-post arms, and strong rectilinear construction. The oak displays beautiful ray fleck throughout, with a rich, deep brown finish that has developed an appealing, even patina over time. The original branded mark is clearly visible on the back rail, confirming period production. A fitted leather seat cushion in a warm cognac tone complements the oak beautifully.
