High-quality vintage Regency or Chinese Chippendale style server (frequently utilized as a small sideboard, buffet, or media console). The piece features figured fiddleback (tiger) mahogany veneers across the drawer fronts and top. The clean ribbon-stripe mahogany top is accented by a subtle molded edge and anchored by a classic backsplash. Both the backsplash and the lower apron are adorned with beautifully detailed, relief fretwork bands—a classic look from Thomas Chippendale’s 18th-century Chinoiserie designs. The server is raised on straight Marlborough legs and has two upper drawers and a single, deep lower drawer for expansive storage. It also has a sturdy hinged brass utility/towel rail mounted on the left side—a traditional hallmark of high-end serving furniture. Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with residential use. Drawers glide smoothly. Small veneer chip to lower drawer and some small dark spots to the top (both pictured).
