Batman: Dark Allegiances, written and illustrated by Howard Chaykin, is an "Elseworlds" story set in a pulp version of the late 1930s where Batman fights fascists and a secret society known as the "White Legion". It was published in 1996 in prestige format. Batman/Demon (sometimes simply Batman Demon) is a one-shot comic that forces an alliance between Batman and the demon Etrigan to solve a series of black-magic ritual murders in Gotham City. It was written by Alan Grant with art by David Roach and published in August 1996, also in prestige format.
