Following the events of the previous X-Force series, Psylocke and Storm form a new, clandestine team to handle missions the main X-Men refuse to touch. The initial roster includes outcasts Puck, Spiral, and a new character named Cluster. Their first major adversary is the X-Men legend Bishop, who returns from the future possessed by the "White Owl" demon (later revealed to be a revenant of Cassandra Nova). The team's missions delve into the darker corners of the mutant universe, often forcing them to make difficult, morally compromised decisions. The series was written by Sam Humphries. Artwork was provided by Ron Garney and Adrian Alphona, among others. The issues feature characters such as Psylocke, Storm, Puck, Spiral, and Bishop.
